Install Forum Post Robot

There are two steps to install Forum Post Robot.

Download the zip file (setup.zip) from your account, unzip it (right-click the zip file, select "extract").

You will get one exe file (setup.exe) and one folder (/ServerCode).

First, on the local computer, double click the Setup.exe to start installation, then follow the instructions on the screen to choose the options for the installation. Once the installation is done, Forum Post Robot shortcut is on your desktop screen.

*** Note that, for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, Forum Post Robot should be launched as an administrator. Otherwise, the windows will not allow the program save files.

  1. Locate Forum Post Robot. By default, it should be in the folder "C:\Program Files\Forum Post Robot".
  2. Right click the program icon and choose the properties option.
  3. Select the compatibility tab, under privilege level, check the box to run this program as administrator.

 

In the folder /ServerCode, there are 3 subfolders. In V2.0, Forum Post Robot supports these 3 scripts:  Populate Forums Automatically & Easily PhpBB3,  Simple Machine Forum (SMF), and  Vbulletin (VB). V2.1 also supports WordPress Blog .  More supported scripts will be added. Please check sales page or 'help at forum post robot d-o-t com' for the latest supported scripts.

In each subfolder, there are 2 php files "Soap_Agent.php" and "Soap_Agent2.php" . Upload files "Soap_Agent.php" and "Soap_Agent2.php" to the root of the forum script. Please note:

 File name "Soap_Agent.php" and "Soap_Agent.php" are case sensitive;

That's it.

 

Uninstall Forum Post Robot

Follow below steps to uninstall the software if you decided to stop using it.

  • Go to Start menu at the lower left corner of your screen.
  • Go to All Programs, and then click on Forum Post Robot.
  • Go over to Uninstall.
  • Click Uninstall and follow the instructions to uninstall Forum Post Robot from local PC.
  • Remove file "Soap_Agent.php" and "Soap_Agent2.php" from the forum root.
